Merry Christmas

This is a fitting picture for the Klement 2010.
2011 has to be better!

The month of December has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Now that we have an official toddler on our hands, everything is happening at warp speed. Here are some pictures of the excitement we have had over the last month.

Lucy looking at the kittens ("me-ows") at the farm.
A Lucy-sized porch bench. As you can see, she made herself right at home.
Christmas dress - thanks, Sabrina!

Happy Thanksgiving!

t
Happy Turkey Day! We are getting ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Dallas to celebrate with the whole big family. We will miss Grandma Charlotte and Grandpa Dale though! We are very thankful for everyone in our Muenster and Dallas families!

Halloween # 2

For this evening's festivities, costume numero dos.

Happy Halloween # 1

First costume of the day. Our little "Peanut"s.... Snoopy!

Now for some other random cuteness from earlier in the month:
Playing in the laundry basket with Daddy.
We love Rufflebutts!
Lucy's new favorite expression. She looks like a cross between Grandpa Tom and Uncle John in this picture!

Fall is in the Air!

Hooray for fall!

Yay for fall - the favorite season around here. I love fall up here by the Red River - there is definitely a change in the air already. Lucy is a mammoth outdoor girl, so we have been spending as much time as possible playing in the fresh air. Can't wait for the temps to dip even cooler - until then, Happy Fall!

Random cuteness:
Lucy looking at her reflection in the window. Thanks Grandma Jackie for the adorable outfit!

A pumpkin just my size!
Lucy did not like the pony rides at Depot Days in Gainesville (which is now a yearly family activity). Yet, she didn't mind when a huge golden retriever came up and knocked her over then licked her to high heaven - she laughed. Go figure!

Happy Fall Everyone! On our front porch - it was Daddy's idea to decorate (which made me very excited!!!).

Sunday Family Fun Day

I'm ready for Church, but I have to show Doggie Gus my shoes first.

Today was Muenster's 5th annual Family Day in the Park. Sponsored by the KC's and Sacred Heart's Unity and Fellowship committee, family day involves a plethora of free food, fun, and festivities leaving the majority of its patrons in a sugar-induced coma. We are no exception. Lucy, Cody and I met up with not only our Muenster family, but also shared the day with my sister and her bunch. From kettle korn to bounce houses, I can safely say a good time was had by all. Look here to find pictures from last year's fellowship.

Getting ready to ride the train with cousin Abby.
Riding the train with Abby, Sabrina, Sam, and I believe one of the Hacker kids (whom I am sure we are related to in some way).
About halfway through the train ride, Lucy got a little scared. Thank goodness Grandma came to the rescue!
Sammy waiting his turn to complete the obstacle course. Sabrina, not so much...
Chillin' between events.
Swing time!
Go Sabrina, Go!

Ringling Father....

For your ring-side enjoyment:

Chores

Lucy has taken on her first household chore dutifully. Consequently, Daddy has taken to mixing his cardio routine now with strength training in the amount of 23 pounds.

Did August even happen?

August signifies back-to-school, which ends my free time entirely. I have been in full-on Language Arts mode for a month now, which explains the lack of updates (complex sentence - see, I can't stop!). Anyway, I finally got to downloading pictures last night, and thought I would give everyone their much needed dose of cuteness via Lucy.

Just like Mommy - starting the shoe obsession at a young age. She's gonna be a cowgirl, too, according to her shoe of choice.

Cody mowed Lucy's name in the grass. Hard to see b/c it wouldn't all fit in the shot, and we were losing daylight. Clever, nonetheless.

My "Little Brother" Luke trying out one of LJ's hairbows. I am so gonna post it on facebook... Sorry Lukie!

Enjoying a little sun-and-fun with a new pool float. Again, nice tan, Daddy.

Thanks, Grandma, for sending me my own stash of pictures to play with. I will cherish them... until they are accidentally shredded or eaten...

Righty Tighty, Lefty... Handed???

Today I let Lucy feed herself applesauce. Thinking this was going to be a messy endeavor, we strapped on the bib, held our breath, and let her go. Surprisingly, she knew exactly was to do and the mess was minimal. Granted, she did eventually end up using her hands to eat, she made several precise moves with said spoon -- all of which happened with the left hand. This could have just been because the milk was strong-fisted in the right, but I do think we have a future lefty. Daddy and Aunt Julie are proud, I am sure.

Here are some pictures of Lucy with her first chocolate chip cookie. I should have known better. Look at the couch. Geesh, and it was totally a tiny cookie!

now for the spoon....
See? She really did do it... unlike the video leads one to believe.

Splish Splash but not in the Bath

Lucy has tested out a variety of swimming pools over her summer vacation. First was in the hotel on our way to Wisconsin.... that did not go over well.

Then there was swimming at Grandpa Tom and Grandma Jackie's house in Dallas. Definitely a much better time was had by all.

Then we decided to purchase this amazing pool, complete with an elephant slide. It took Mommy and Daddy forever to blow it up, but when it was finished, Lucy couldn't wait to get in it... in the living room.

After this picture, we moved it out to the deck, went to a tee-ball game, and came back to see the pool meet its maker. Back to Target it goes.

So, pool # 2 = less expensive, less bells-and-whistles, but even more loved. It does have a spout, though, which is pretty amazing!
So Daddy and Lucy tested it out to much smiles and overall happiness. Don't you want a tan just like Cody's?

Then Sabrina and Sam came over for a swim, and Lucy quickly learned to fend for herself... and how to go underwater (whoops! She bounced back quickly, though!)
For your viewing pleasure - swim time at the Klement's.

Happy Birthday America!

Happy 4th of July!

What a fun day at Aunt Tina and Uncle Kenneth's house. Maybe next year I will be able to stay up and enjoy the fireworks!

Emma, Grandma Charlotte, and Lucy
This better not be a foreshadowing of the future, little missy!

Picture Catch Up

Moments in Lucy Land

Helping Mommy cook.
Mac-n-Cheese at Grandma Jackie's house....

Something tells me she liked it. Doesn't she look like Sammy as a baby here?

She loves Aunt Karen and Samantha. Happy pregnancy Karen - can't wait for the new baby to come January 2011!!

Playing with super new friend (and soon to be big sister) Samantha at Border's Books and Music.
