At least one person in the household can relax...
I have learned many things over the past (almost) 6 weeks with my darling daughter. The highlights include:
* Don't bother getting dressed in cute clothes b/c it is inevitable that they will become drenched in spit-up. The stench is so-quite-lovely... (this goes for mother and child)
* Hot lunches are a thing of the past. Who are we kidding? LUNCH itself is a thing of the past.
* Daddies should not have chest hair because daughters will grab at it.
* Apparently Drew Carey and The Price is Right is the funniest thing ever to a newborn.
* Every day is laundry day.
* I thought hubby made the weirdest noises in his sleep... that was until Lucy came along. Now I see where she gets it.
* Everything is better in song.
* My daughter loves the freecreditreport.com commercials just like mommy.
* Sleep should be a 4-letter word...
It has been a trying and tiring 6 weeks, but I wouldn't change them for anything. What started out as a 8lb angel, is now a 10lb precious porker that makes her Mommy and Daddy melt. She is cute, and boy does she know it. Especially when she saw her pictures on the screensaver, and for the first time, Mommy and Daddy saw her first real smile and coo! Oh good grief, the hellian is about to come out!
Look how long I am already! I definitely did not inherit height from my mommy!
But I definitely got my silliness from my Daddy - I mean, just look at him!
