I know, I know, I am a bad blogger!

Happy Memorial Day from the Klement Family! May 31, 2010 Klement Farm

May... what to say about May....

May is the craziest time of year for me, being as it is the end of the school year. It was "extra special" (*note sarcasm) this year due to the fact that I didn't have to go through it the year before (I was done at Easter thanks to the birth of somebody I know). So, I have been up to my eyeballs in exams, projects, junior high activity day (complete with a, dare I say AMAZING "Amazing Race" scavengar hunt designed by yours truly), junior high dance, and then life itself - Lucy-style. Thank the Lord, summer is finally here, and things can slow down a bit.

Yeah, right

We are taking a week long trip to Wisconsin. That, it and of itself, will be an adventure.

Then there is Vacation Bible School, workshops, and various other social occasions that will keep us busy until school resumes August 23 (16th for inservice if you want to get technical).

Sidebar - I get Lucy's birthday off next year. It's flippin' Good Friday. Easter is late!

Lucy is getting into anything and everything now. Still not walking, but pulling up and making progress. She is also extremely good at waving/patty cake. Working on tooth number 6 and drooling all over the place to prove it. She loves our dog Gus more than anyone else - well, second to Sid the Science Kid. She really likes "Bad Boy Gerald" more than Sid, but Daddy won't allow that to happen.

Here are some pictures from Memorial Day out at the Klement Farm. Enjoy!

Emma, Grandma Charlotte, and Lucy in the prayer grotto.

Daddy, Mommy and Lucy after Lucy's first tractor ride. She loved every minute of it!

"Daddy, can I drive puh-lease?"

This was Lucy's celestial tractor moment.
Four wheelers are fun - especially when Daddy drives fast down the lane and Mommy has a heart attack.
Goin' 4-wheelin'
Grandma, Faith Greene (family friends) and Lucy outside for a picnic.

Lucy 'reading' her mail from Aunt Julie, Uncle Chris, Sammy, and Sabrina. (Thanks for the new toy favorite!)
Yes, I get into everything!

I'm a big girl now!

My first tractor ride was a success!

One is Fun!

The Birthday Cupcake Herself!

Wow! How that first year went by quickly! Well, everything after the first 6 weeks... the first 6 weeks were wonderful misery, but extremely long... I am just amazed more and more every day at the vast amount of knowledge Lucy is attaining. Her vocabulary is enormous. Today she said both 'please' and 'thank you', in addition to 'all done' and 'Gus' (our dog). At least, we think that is what she is saying - and I am sticking to it. What she lacks in motor, she definitely makes up for in verbal. We celebrated her birthday over the weekend with our family and friends. Thank you to all who helped commemorate her special day... and an extreme gift of graciousness is bestowed upon both Grandmas, Aunt Julie, and Aunt Stacie who helped clean (I love you all even more now!). Here are some pictures from the party. Enjoy, and cheers to what is ahead!

Ice cream b-day treat at The Center

After our one-year well visit (and shots, yuck!), we had to play in the bluebonnets.

The homemade sweets (more cakes and pies were added to this table later - enough to make your sweet tooth ache in agony!).

She loves this table from Grandpa Tom and Grandma Jackie. Definitely a winner!

Cousins!

Another Present Strikes Again

Uncle Mark outdid himself, yet again. I can't wait for her to grow into this....

Your little ladybug loves you, Uncle Mark!

Almost 1!

Lucy is fast approaching her first birthday - must to my disbelief. I am sure this week will be filled with memories of last year at this time. Cody keeps mentioning the wonderful food he ate while I suffered at the hospital - so much for his memories. Anyway, Lucy has a big thank you for Uncle Mark, who sent Lucy her very first birthday present. Lucybug loves her Uncle Mark!

I love my ladybug pillow!
new car seat... she looks so grownup!
Helping Mommy fold laundry - although I think she is more interested in her cheerios.

Happy Chinese Easter Gelato!

Lucy exploring her Easter basket from Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Tom. She got 3 baskets all together! Spoiled?

We have been busy over the past few weeks, and it doesn't look like life is going to slow down any time soon. Many firsts happened, so we decided to share them with you! Enjoy the barrage of pictures. From Daddy's birthday chinese feast, to sharing Italian icecream over a beautiful holiday weekend, Lucy has had an eventful time.

Daddy was tired, so he decided to take a nap
...but Lucy didn't want him to nap alone.
Lucy enjoying her first fortune cookie during Daddy's birthday dinner. I have never seen a man salivating so profusely for Chinese.

Daddy actually sharing his gelato. He must love his daughter because he never shares any with me!

Happy Easter from the Klement family!

Start of Spring Break Fun

Ready for fun in the sun

It's Lucy's first Spring Break, and she couldn't be more excited (as is Mommy, who has a full week off school thank goodness!). It's only day two, and we have already been to 2 different parks, been shopping, and had a random play date on the street. We are excited to be going in to Dallas this week, too, and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa. Mommy is excited to go shopping... apparently for a thesaurus to replace the word excited...
Checking my email like my cousins Maddie and Izzie.
Mommy's 'Happy Break' Flowers from Daddy.
Sliding break at the outlet mall.
Mommy and me just finishing up a slide.

My first swing!

"I really want to go down that slide please, Mommy."

"Daddy, can I slide down again?"

March Madness!

I'm a big kid now!

Lucy is just a bundle of cute fun nowadays. She is closer to crawling, talking nonstop, and definitely an attention-seeker. Here are some photos and videos that captured her adorableness over the past month.

"Mommy, can I have some string cheese too?"

Eating my very first pancake - just like Sid the Science Kid.

Playtime fun

I found out how to get in the DVD cabinet and pull movies off the shelf!

Crackers and Cheese, please

My first pizza! Just like Daddy.

Talk time

Grandma Porky is so much fun!
